Multilingual Learners

The ML Department strives to achieve one very important objective for our ML student population at Horace Mann Middle School: academic achievement for every student. We differentiate our instruction based on student needs to help ML students to achieve English proficiency level comparable to mainstream students in areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. In essence, we prepare our students to successfully integrate and become academically competitive in the mainstream classrooms as well as being a lifelong learner.
